I didn’t expect the release of a second edition of my debut fiction novel to be as exciting as the first edition, but it is just as exciting, if not more.

In the second edition, I improved on craft elements from characterisations to pacing, and incorporated useful feedback from readers. A reader in Cyprus commented that she wanted to know more about the main character, for example. This led me to add a love interest and share his inner thoughts.

What is Eleven Bastions of the Stone Lion about?

An empire on the brink of collapse.

A gripping tale of war and peace, love and death.

The political intrigue of John le Carré’s ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’ meets the magical realism of Isabelle Allende’s ‘The House of the Spirits’.

The story begins in 1955 during the deadly clash between Cypriot freedom fighters and the British Empire.

Alex, an introverted teenage mathematics prodigy from a poor home, is forced to leave Cyprus and fulfil his destiny as a mystical peacemaker.

As Alex reluctantly boards a British warship to Southampton, an Oxford professor on an intelligence mission recruits him to work for national security, throwing him into a lion’s den of colonial intrigue with destiny-altering consequences.

Kind words from the media:

“A story of mysticism and Cyprus’ enigmatic past.” Cyprus Mail

“Masterly magical realism.” Westfalen Blatt

Where can you buy it?

On Amazon worldwide. It’s available in eBook and paperback, whichever you prefer. The hardback version will be released as soon as I figure out the cover template measurements.

As you can see, I’m a small indie author who self-publishes. I appreciate every reader, so if you decide to read my book – thank you!
